First Commonwealth Moves to New State College Location
INDIANA, PA (July 29, 2025) ― First Commonwealth Bank has relocated its North Atherton branch, located on North Atherton Street, in State College, just four miles away to South Atherton Avenue, effective Friday, July 25.
The move to the new South Atherton branch at 2129 South Atherton St. will allow the bank to better serve the needs of its customers and remain right in the heart of State College.
“An opportunity in the lease agreement allowed us to pursue other locations,” said Garrett Sanner, Financial Solutions Area Manager for First Commonwealth Bank. “The new location is convenient to our loyal customers in the area and also provides us opportunities to grow our business in the important State College market.”
The former North Atherton branch closed July 25, 2025. The new office opened its doors July 28, 2025. Customers were notified of the closing in February. A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new office is being planned for which details will be announced at a later date.
